Join Our Energy Team
We are eager to hear from customer-focused individuals interested in joining our Energy team. You will lead and develop multiple projects within our energy business unit during the pre-construction phases, focusing on developing working methodologies and sequencing. Your responsibilities include managing feasibility studies, feasibility design, and detailed design to facilitate successful project transitions into construction. Collaborating with team colleagues and other departments, your role will contribute to the following activities:
1. Manage all designated project work to ensure successful completion, adhering to safety, technical, legislative policies, and procedures, and delivering according to the P6 programme, cost, and quality standards.
2. Conduct site visits, attend kick-off meetings, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to Clancy and the client.
3. Coordinate with clients, senior management, and stakeholders to meet key programme deadlines.
4. Implement project execution plans aligned with the proposed delivery strategy.
5. Exhibit visual leadership and promote positive behaviors within Clancy and for clients, maintaining proactive relationships.
6. Manage subcontractors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of works.
7. Monitor and document all pre-construction information, ensuring proper handover to the delivery team upon project completion.
8. Assist estimating teams in developing construction programmes, pricing, risk registers, and initial safety documentation.
9. Support consenting teams in stakeholder management and planning.
10. Help the commercial team maintain cost control and manage project finances via NEC contracts.
Qualifications and experience required include contractual experience (preferably NEC), High Voltage and Utilities experience (DNO and Streetworks preferred), substation development and build experience, project management expertise in pre-construction and build projects, and a strong understanding of the power, transmission, and distribution industry. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel is essential. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach are required.
