About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Location
Cambridge (Hybrid - 2/3 days in the Wisbech office)
Key Responsibilities
* Complete statutory visits for CIN (Child in Need), CP (Child Protection), and CIC (Children in Care) cases.
* Chair CIN and Core Group Meetings.
* Manage a caseload including CIN, CP, and CIC cases, some of which may involve PLO or S31 Care Proceedings.
* Prepare and complete Court Reports, risk assessments, and parenting assessments.
* Attend court with support from a Senior Practitioner or Team Manager.
* Participate in the Duty rota.
* Attend ICPC and RCPC meetings and write conference reports.
* Assess and manage risk effectively to safeguard children and families.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
* Experience in Family Safeguarding and statutory social work.
* Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and court processes.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
