We are a courier service provider seeking reliable and motivated Delivery Drivers to join our dynamic team. While we provide delivery services on behalf of DPD, drivers are employed by us and not directly by DPD. Shifts are available at the DPD Bolton Depot. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, time-critical environment. As a Delivery Driver, you will transport parcels from the DPD Bolton Depot to customers' homes and businesses, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries within DPD's 1-hour delivery ETA window.
Duties
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Load and unload parcels, ensuring items are secured properly for transport.
* Deliver each parcel within its allocated 1-hour ETA, maintaining a high on-time delivery performance.
* Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
* Navigate routes efficiently in a fast-paced delivery environment to meet delivery targets.
* Maintain regular communication with the depot and operations team throughout the route.
* Provide excellent customer service through professional and positive interactions at each delivery point.
* Accurately record delivery details, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
* Minimum 1 year valid driving licence with a clean driving record; van driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
* Knowledge of road safety standards and commercial driving regulations.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) during loading and unloading.
* Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
* Previous warehouse or courier experience is beneficial but not essential.
