Maintenance Assistant – Christian Aid Mission
Join our night shift engineering team at Branston Abernethy site. In this role you will support our night shift engineering team by assisting with planned maintenance, equipment servicing, and breakdown repairs.
Work at our Fresh factory, which has recently undergone major upgrades, including the installation of cutting‑edge automation and machinery as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support for the engineering team, assisting with mechanical tasks related to machinery and production lines.
* Assist in identifying and resolving mechanical problems and contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness.
* Conduct product tests to assess quality. Accurately record technical data for process analysis and development.
* Support the upkeep of production equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks and helping to address mechanical breakdowns.
* Help ensure the manufacturing side complies with food safety regulations and maintains required quality standards.
* Work with a wide range of teams, including production & quality to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications
* An understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
* Strong problem‑solving skills.
* Logical thinker with a good attention to detail.
* A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Driving licence & own transport essential due to shift patterns and location.
