About the Role
The International Student Compliance team acts as the central function for ensuring governance and compliance with UKVI sponsorship requirements. This key role will assume responsibility for the operations within the team, including working within both the University and the UKVI policies and procedures, in order to provide advice and support to current and prospective international students on a wide range of practical issues including CAS issuance, visa advise, enrolment, on programme guidance, attendance, student finance, EU Settlement Status, Federal Loans to ensure that the university is fully compliant within the guidelines of UKVI sponsorship agreements.
Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, assessing CAS readiness, and supporting key processes such as enrolment and attendance monitoring. The role helps protect the University from regulatory risk while enabling students to progress confidently through their academic journey.
This position is offered on a fixed‑term basis to cover a period of maternity leave, with the contract due to end late August 2027. There may be the potential for the contract to be extended beyond this date, however this cannot be guaranteed.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone with the drive and ambition to deliver outstanding results. You will be detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of demonstrating tact and diplomacy in various situations. The ideal candidate will have a methodical, creative, and accurate approach to handling and collating data, ensuring reliability and precision.
You will also be comfortable with using technology to gather information to gain a clear understanding of the requirements. Strong data handling skills are essential, including the ability to collate, verify, analyse, and report on complex information. Confidence in using software applications, particularly those involving data manipulation, is required.
Experience in delivering high‑quality customer service, providing advice and guidance to stakeholders, and creating innovative solutions to problems is highly valued. The ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments to achieve shared goals is key to success in this role.
