What the Job Involves This role involves overseeing the revenue and capital accounting entries for the Statement of Accounts to ensure timely and accurate production in line with legislative requirements and professional codes of practice. You will produce statutory financial statements and returns, provide expertise on taxation and VAT issues, and lead the coordination of capital strategy development as part of the medium-term financial strategy. You will collaborate to develop treasury strategies reflecting the council's capital spending plans and cash flow projections. Additionally, you are tasked with producing high-level capital monitoring reports, advising on financial appraisals, and overseeing the corporate grants register.
