A well-established SEN specialist service in Southwark, South London, seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher to join our growing team. About the Role: You will plan, deliver and assess engaging and informative Food Technology lessons tailored to the National Curriculum and the specific needs of our students across all key stages. You will create a safe and stimulating learning environment that fosters a love of food, practical cooking skills, and an understanding of nutrition in a way that is accessible to all learners. You will develop students’ practical skills in the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation, with a focus on building confidence and independence. You will collaborate with other professionals within the service to ensure a holistic approach to student development. You will play a key role in maintaining a well-equipped and safe food technology learning environment. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a relevant subject. A strong passion for food and a demonstrably engaging teaching style, with experience in adapting lessons for students with SEN. Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills with a strong focus on positive behaviour management. The ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that caters to a diverse range of needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
