Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be a key part of the operations team responsible for the production of high-quality chilled products across a fast paced food manufacturing business. You will be leading a shift team consisting of 3 direct reports (Area Leaders), with an overall headcount of up to around 40 people during peak periods. As a crucial member of the manufacturing management team, you will also have full site responsibility during the nightshift and at weekends. Main Responsibilities: This is a challenging, rewarding role and your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Leading your team to deliver the production plan, working to ensure all KPIs are achieved to include full accountability for labour variance, waste and material variances. Providing strong leadership, leading by example to drive performance and promote best practice, audit ready and GMP at all times Coaching and developing your team, identifying areas for training and improvement, and supporting them to ensure they’re able to perform to the best of their ability.
