Job summaryLewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a fixed-term (6 months, with the possibility of extension) Consultant Paediatrician to support the delivery of high-quality general paediatric care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. There is also scope within the role to develop and deliver a sub-specialty service in either paediatric epilepsy or cardiology, should the successful candidate have the appropriate expertise. The configuration of this element of the post can be discussed further at appointment.Main duties of the jobThis is a locum consultant post in general paediatrics at Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust providing clinical support to the general paediatric department.The postholder will have the opportunity to undertake a specialty clinic in either epilepsy or cardiology (by mutual agreement). The role also includescover for the acute paediatric ward as the on-take attending consultant one in every eight weeks, and taking part in the one in eight on-call general paediatric rota.
