The finance function is undergoing continued development, and the team is seeking a motivated finance professional to support effective financial planning, performance monitoring and informed decision-making. Your new role As the Finance Officer, you will support senior finance colleagues and operational managers by providing clear, accurate financial information. Key duties include: Assisting with annual budget setting and ensuring plans align with organisational priorities. Supporting the development of efficiency, recovery and contingency plans. Identifying financial risks early and helping agree corrective actions. Enhancing the use of financial systems, reporting tools and analytical processes. Producing ad hoc financial reports and resolving queries from senior management. What you'll need to succeed You must meet one of the following criteria: Degree 2 years' relevant finance experience AAT/HND 2 years' relevant finance experience Part-qualified CCAB 1 year's relevant finance experience 3 years' relevant Band-4-equivalent experience You will also demonstrate: Strong written and verbal communication skills High Excel competency Solid understanding of accounting principles (accruals, prepayments) Ideally, experience in management accounts and variance analysis Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines What you'll get in return You will join a supportive finance team offering strong public-sector benefits.
