The successful candidate will be keen and willing to learn and develop their career in an outpatients setting. The role supports career development in each area of the specialities.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake training to become confident in providing Aural Care in Nurse Led clinics. The role will involve the cleaning of Nasendoscopes used in clinic, the chaperoning of clinicians in a variety of Head and Neck clinics including assisting in Ultrasound clinics, and mentoring students. You will work according to the NMC Code of Professional Standards of Practice and relevant professional guidelines and be accountable for your own professional actions. You will also be required to develop and maintain clinical competencies, skills and knowledge related to your practice.
We offer the opportunity to participate in all clinic specialities and encourage staff to learn new skills. The clinics offer many different interventions and procedures within the department.

* You will have excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude to assist in managing issues pertaining to patients, their safe and efficient journey through the department, and liaising with Multi-disciplinary Teams.
* You must be committed to delivering high quality of care and be able to work as part of a team. The ability to prioritise your workload and liaise confidently with staff from all disciplines is essential.
* You will be expected to work in all areas of the department including but not limited to providing Aural care, working alongside the Radiologist in Ultrasound Clinic, Minor Oral Surgery and Plastics dressings. Training will be provided.
* You should have evidence of relevant ongoing professional development.
