A UHNW family is on the hunt for a house manager to manage and maintain their very large estate in Surrey.
This property is the client’s second home, therefore they are only in residence up to 6 months of the year. This means that the working hours of the role are subject to change as they depend on the client’s schedule.
During the quieter months when the family is not in residence, it is a great opportunity for the house manager to get to know the property and get involved with various projects to ensure the home is prepared to the highest standard for their return.
The client is interested in hiring a full new team of staff for the property, therefore the candidate will be in charge of all staff recruitment as well as training new team members. Other staff management will include scheduling rotas and overseeing the staff day to day, as well as mucking in wherever needed with the household team and not just simply delegating tasks.
Other responsibilities include running errands, organising deliveries and dealing with all household admin including finances. Furthermore, there is scope for the right candidate to manage small renovation projects.
Whilst the position will be full on at times, the role will balance out when the family are not in residence and allow the candidate to focus their attention to make sure the home is constantly improving in standard.
The client is not able to provide accommodation, so the candidate will need to live locally and be able to drive to and from the client’s property on a daily basis.

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 gross per annum (DOE)
