Vacancy - Workshop Controller - Chester Area
My client are looking to employ a Workshop controller at their site within the Chester area.
We are looking for someone with a technical background, strong organisation skills and a proactive approach to ensure the smooth running of the workshop.
Package Details:
1. £35, - £38,, depending on experience
2. 42.50 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:00
3. 23 days' holiday each year plus bank holidays

Accountabilities:
20. Receive job cards from service reception, pre-time each job and allocate work to Technicians.
21. Obtain authorisation for any additional work required either through service reception or by direct contact with customer.
22. Ensure that all warranty items are identified for each job and that parts replaced are labelled, appropriate documentation completed and passed for action.
23. Receive job cards for completed jobs ensuring that work has been completed correctly; time completed jobs so that job costing can be completed, and ensuring all warranty items are highlighted and all associated documentation is completed.
24. Arrange for customer to be informed that vehicle has been completed.
25. Ensure that the image and levels of customer service within the department is in line with Company standards.
26. Schedule all PDI and used car preparation to ensure that sales department requirements are met.
27. Ensure that all special tools and equipment are kept in good order and that repair requirements are addressed.
28. Ensure that the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times.
29. Ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively.
30. Supervision of the team to ensure that designated duties are performed correctly, highlighting any improvement areas to their immediate supervisor.
31. Identify training requirements for workshop team and Technical Specialists.
32. Ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, vehicle and consumer legislation, fire, health and safety etc. are adhered to.
