Job Summary The Machinist’s primary purpose is to produce conforming aerospace components, working to tight tolerances, using conventional vertical and horizontal jig boring machines, machining a variety of materials from aluminium to 300M steel. They will be required to work to – and understand – technical aerospace drawings. With opportunities to train on other machines such as an XYZ CNC lathe. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Producing conforming components in a timely manner. Setting and operating conventional vertical and horizontal jig borers to achieve correct dimensions and surface finish requirements. Completing all appropriate paperwork e.g., technique sheets and production orders. Using calibrated precision measuring equipment. Working with a team and using your own initiative. Requirements Experience setting and operating vertical and horizontal jig borers (Desirable) Experience setting and operating XYZ CNC lathe (Desirable) Experience working to tight tolerances.
