Support Worker - Care Leavers (Aged 16-21)
We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work with young people aged 16-21 who are care leavers, providing safe, structured, and person?centred support. This role requires confident, resilient individuals who are comfortable working long shifts, sleep?ins, and lone working environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting young people to develop independence and life skills
* Promoting positive behaviours and emotional wellbeing
* Supporting with daily routines and practical tasks
* Working independently and making appropriate decisions when lone workingMaintaining accurate records and following care plans
* Ensuring safeguarding and duty of care at all times
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Support Worker
* Proven experience supporting care leavers or similar services
* Experience working long shifts, sleep?ins, and lone working
* Strong communication and professional boundaries
* Ability to work calmly in challenging situations
* Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care
* Knowledge of trauma?informed care and safeguarding procedures
