Responsibilities
The teacher will work with the deputy head teacher to implement our creative and personalised curriculum, monitor progress and plan continuous improvements to ensure we deliver the best teaching and learning opportunities for all of our students. This is a great opportunity to be part of our motivated team with its aim to be an outstanding provision.

Special Educational Needs Class Teacher – Fairfield is a large special school which provides for learners with a diverse range of complex and profound learning difficulties including physical and medical needs from 3-19 years. Fairfield was judged as continuing to be a ‘good’ school by OFSTED in June 2022.

Required Qualifications
* Have Qualified Teacher Status
* Demonstrate excellent classroom practice in supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities as well as students with autism and those with physical and social, emotional and mental health needs
* Ability to demonstrate a differentiated, inspiring approach to meet specific needs and to transfer skills creatively across the curriculum
* Knowledge and skills of communication, sensory approaches and a range of physical therapies
* Passion and commitment to education for students with very complex needs
* Enthusiasm, energy, adaptability and excellent communication skills
* Understand curriculum and creative delivery ideas and be confident to lead a provision team
* Plan and deliver staff CPD as needed
