As part of a new and exciting sales strategy, we are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to focus solely on generating new business and join our growing team at Plantex UK.
Plantex UK are leading suppliers of technical growing solutions for Irrigation. We work with the UK's top fruit and soft fruit growers as well as providing solutions within the commercial sector and across all sports industries. Plantex strive to offer quality irrigation packages with accurate designs, site specific solutions and full customer support.
We are looking for a candidate who has the ability and drive to meet and exceed sales targets as well and become part of a strong and dedicated team.
This is a busy and diverse role, and needs someone with a proven track record in sales or business development.
As our Business Development Manager, you'll be expected to:
Build long term relationships with key customers
Develop sales strategies
Achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets for both products and services
Represent Plantex at key industry events
Conduct regular site visits to identify business opportunities
Generate leads and gather details
Follow up on quotes and project enquires
Maximise Sales enquiries generated from our website or by phone
Learn to use objection handling techniques
To maintain high standards of customer service
The successful Business Development Manager will have:
Experience in technical product sales
Proven track record of achieving sales goals and demonstrating progressive responsibility
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Show enthusiasm, tenacity with a drive to succeed, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are key for this role.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Proficiency in IT software (Word, Excel, etc.)
Identify business development opportunities and handle key projects
Full UK driving license
Business Development Manager Benefits:
Starting salary of £40,000 - £60,000k DOE with uncapped commission. OTE £100k+
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
