Role Overview
This hands‑on role is essential to supporting day‑to‑day production activities and ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing workflows. You'll be involved in assembly, inspection, testing, and documentation tasks, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality products in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the execution of production and assembly tasks in alignment with defined processes and work instructions.
* Carry out build, inspection, and testing activities during various stages of product manufacture.
* Follow detailed production procedures to meet output and quality targets.
* Support inspection of electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
* Accurately maintain documentation and records to support full traceability across production batches.
* Contribute to a continuous improvement culture by identifying and supporting process enhancements.
* Work in accordance with quality management systems and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and operational standards.
Skills & Experience Required
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
* Proficient in hand‑soldering techniques in line with IPC‑J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, and IPC‑7711/7721 standards (Class 3).
* Familiar with manufacturing standards and safety protocols, with the ability to operate tools and equipment responsibly.
* Experience in full product assembly or box build processes is desirable.
* Demonstrated competence developed through hands‑on experience and job‑specific training.
* Comfortable using basic PC tools for documentation and tracking purposes.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* High attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
* Willingness to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives across the team.
* Previous experience in a similar technical or electronics production environment is a strong advantage.
