Do you enjoy the creative side of science as much as the science itself?
We're partnering with a growing independent healthcare advertising agency to find a talented Senior Medical Writer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take real ownership of promotional content across a broad range of deliverables, including sales aids, leave pieces, emails, congress materials, and multichannel campaigns. Working closely with clients, the Creative Director, and account teams, you'll help shape compelling scientific narratives that combine strategic thinking with creative excellence.
As the agency's lead writer, you'll play a key role in elevating the quality of scientific content, partnering closely with the Creative Director to develop engaging campaigns that bring complex science to life. There is also a genuine opportunity to help shape and grow the writing function as the agency continues to expand.
We're looking for someone who is confident interpreting and communicating clinical data, enjoys getting to grips with new therapy areas, and has a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the commercial environment in which clients operate.
Why consider this role?
• Lead medical writing position with significant influence across projects and content strategy
• Opportunity to work closely with the Creative Director and clients
• Varied promotional writing projects across multiple channels
• Exposure to a range of therapy areas and exciting healthcare brands
• Opportunity to help shape and grow the writing function
• Growing independent agency with a supportive, collaborative culture (no big networks)
• Hybrid working, just 1 day per week in the London office (more if you prefer)
• Salary £50,000-£55,000
If you're looking for a role where you can combine scientific rigour with creativity, take ownership of high-profile promotional content, and make a visible impact within a growing agency, we'd love to hear from you.
Applicants must hold a life sciences degree, be based in the UK, and have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
