Experience required:
* Ecology & Field Surveys: Proven experience in protected species surveys (e.g., bats, great crested newts, badgers), invasive species surveys, and certification in River Morphology Surveys in the UK.
* UK Habitat Classification: Strong knowledge and experience with UK Habitat Classification and Condition surveys, including botany skills.
* Advanced Survey Techniques: Experience with camera trapping, emergence surveys, or acoustic monitoring.
* Ecological Reporting: Ability to produce clear, compliant ecological reports according to UK and EU regulations.
* Survey Coordination: Experience managing field surveys and teams within deadlines.
* Species Identification: Skills in identifying protected and invasive species across habitats.
* Legislative Compliance: Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policies.
* Health & Safety: Understanding of safety protocols and risk assessments.
* GIS and Mapping Tools: Proficiency in GIS software for habitat mapping.
* Licenses: Relevant protected species licenses (advantageous).
* Chartered Status: Membership or working towards chartership (e.g., CIEEM).
* Invasive Species Management: Experience developing management plans.
* Data Analysis: Skills in habitat condition assessments and biodiversity metrics.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Experience liaising with clients and authorities.
* Flexible Working: Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork in various locations.
