Branch Manager Designate (Electrical Wholesale) – Northampton Area
£35–42k basic + Bonus
Overview
An exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to step into a Branch Manager Designate role within a well-established and profitable electrical wholesale business.
This position offers a clear pathway into full branch leadership, with the opportunity to develop your management skills and take over an existing, successful branch in the near future.
You will work closely with the current Branch Manager, gaining hands-on experience across all areas of the business while contributing to continued growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring high standards across operations and customer service
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and the wider team
• Driving sales growth through both new business development and existing account management
• Assisting in the achievement of sales and gross profit targets in line with business objectives
• Developing a strong understanding of stock control, purchasing and branch operations
• Supporting and motivating the team to deliver excellent service and performance
• Identifying new opportunities within the local market to grow the branch
• Working closely with senior management to develop leadership and commercial skills
Requirements
• Experience within the electrical wholesale sector
• Currently working as an Assistant Manager, Sales Manager or in a related sales role
• Strong commercial awareness with a proactive approach to sales
• Ambition to progress into a Branch Manager position
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Organised, driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team
