Project Manager– Water Sector – South Region – Southern Sites / Reading office

Role:
* Overall responsibility for the management and successful deliveryofsinglecomplexprojects or packages of projects delivered under theThames WaterFramework.
* Specific responsibilitiesinclude management of;health and safety,design, customer relations,quality, environmental, programme and the cost/valueduring both pre-production (ECI phase) and production.
* Monitortheprogressofoffsiteand onsite operationsagainstdeadlines and budget limitations.
* Create a positive team culture and environment on your projects to support improvedwellbeingand performance.
* In addition to the normal attributes of a successful leader this role will require determination as you will be changing for the better the way in which many people currently work embedding production line thinking and our “offsite first” philosophy.

* Supply Chain:Fullyintegrate andengage with the supply chain to assess and develop their capabilities so that they positively contribute to our delivery capability and capacity.
* Develop Sustainable Solutions:Display a sound knowledgeof sustainable construction solutions and manage engineering activities that contribute to sustainable development.
Line Management Responsibilities:
* Works as part of the Production Delivery Team.
* Reports to the Production or Construction Manager.
* Direct reports include: Agents, Engineers, Supervisors.
* Also has operationalresponsibilityfor theOffsite Manufacturing,Commercial, Mechanical, Electrical,Commissioning, Planning, Customer Serviceresources allocated to the project/package.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Project Manager role you must meet the following criteria:
* Excellentteam leaderwithgreat peoplemanagement skillsandstrong analytical, problem-solving and organisationalcapabilities.
* Experience of both pre-production and production project managementin a majorproject'senvironmentdesirable.
* Able tolead and inspirea diverse team.
* Contract administration experiencedesirable.
* Has excellent communication and customer service skills.Has an appreciation of MMC, Lean Construction, Agile Programme Management, Production Thinking and other techniques that assure programme, costand quality performance.
* Programme focused with an ability to plan and organise resources todeliver on time and in full.
* Recognises themanybenefits ofmaintainingexemplary site organisation and tidiness.
* Commerciallyastute– lead other team members to produce accurate time and cost forecasts and reports.
* BIM/digitalexperiencedesirable.
* Minimum HNC qualified in amanufacturing/construction subject desirable.
* IT literacy essential.
* Professional qualification is desirable.
* SMSTS safety qualificationandrelevant CSCS cardis desirable
* Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or construction organisation is desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of people.
Remuneration:
The successful Project Manager will receive:
-£55,000 - £75,000 Basic
