I’m currently working with an ambitious, creative founder and a leading private equity house to deliver a high-growth hospitality roll-out across the UK. With strong brand potential and a proven concept, we are now seeking a Finance Director (No 1) to join the leadership team and play a pivotal role in scaling the business. The Role As Finance Director, you will be a key strategic partner to the Founder and the Board, driving financial discipline, shaping the growth strategy, and ensuring the successful execution of new site openings. You will provide clear insight and control to support rapid expansion while maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of the brand. Key responsibilities: Partner closely with the Founder and PE stakeholders to deliver the roll-out strategy. Lead on site identification and appraisal, including financial modelling and investment cases. Build and manage robust financial systems, reporting, and controls fit for a multi-site, high-growth business. Provide insightful analysis to drive performance across existing and new locations. Manage cashflow, funding requirements, and covenant reporting. Recruit and lead a small but high-performing finance team as the business scales. Act as a trusted advisor across commercial negotiations, supplier relationships, and operational decision-making. The Candidate We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Director with proven experience in a growth environment, ideally in hospitality, leisure, or multi-site consumer businesses. You will combine strategic vision with hands-on ability, thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. Essential experience: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Ideally experience of working in PE-backed, high-growth, or roll-out businesses. Strong financial modelling, investment appraisal, and cash management skills. Experience supporting site roll-outs, property negotiations, or similar growth initiatives. A collaborative, pragmatic style, able to work closely with a creative founder and operational teams. Gravitas to engage with investors and external stakeholders.
