Duties for the Food Technology Teacher include:

Teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4, preparing students for GCSE assessments

Planning lessons that incorporate theory, practical skills, and food safety

Encouraging creativity and problem-solving in recipe design and execution

Promoting awareness of sustainability and global food issues
*
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and classroom behaviour
*
Contributing to curriculum development and school-wide health initiatives
*
Organising enrichment opportunities such as cooking competitions or themed days
Requirements:

A degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a relevant subject
*
QTS or PGCE in Design Technology/Food Technology
*
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

A passion for practical, hands-on education
