About the Role Join us for an incredible opportunity as a Band 5 Anatomical Pathology Technician in the charming city of Bath, UK. This full-time locum position offers up to £21 per hour over a 3-month period. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks within the mortuary, ensuring the efficient and respectful handling of the deceased. As a qualified HCPC professional and a confident car driver, you'll be an essential part of our esteemed team.

What you will do
* Record the admission of bodies from hospital wards, A&E, and the community.
* Verify ID bands and identities of the deceased.
* Check for pacemakers and record property and valuables on the Pathology LIMS system.
* Coordinate the release of bodies to approved undertakers, ensuring all property and paperwork are in order.
* Operate the electro-hydraulic mortuary trolley hoist and cold storage system.
* Ensure accurate signing out of the deceased on the Pathology LIMS system.
* Obtain signatures on release forms, confirming receipt by undertakers.
* Collaborate in the release of organs and foetuses, completing necessary documents.
* Participate in the detailed checking and signing of foetal containers and relevant paperwork.
