Occupational Therapist – Community Resource Team, Bridgend County Borough Council
37 hours per week. We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Community Resource Team, delivering short‑term assessment services to adults in Bridgend County Borough.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Occupational Therapy input to the Support at Home enabling home care service, helping people living with dementia or a cognitive impairment maintain or improve functioning.
* Plan, manage and deliver time‑limited Occupational Therapy interventions to support people to remain independent in their own homes.
* Work with a team of Social Care Workers, providing professional guidance and evidence‑based interventions to promote independence and quality of life.
* Plan and manage clinical and non‑clinical tasks efficiently, ensuring effective workload management and flexible response to service needs.
* Conduct basic conversations in Welsh where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Basic Welsh language skills.
* Enhanced DBS check (Adults Barred list) – a requirement for all council employee posts.
* Commitment to protecting children, young people or adults at risk.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
