Band 5 Part-Time Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Aim: To participate in the delivery of a patient-focused, pharmacy service for outpatients and inpatients, including ward based services, provided through the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH) pharmacy dispensary as part of acute pharmacy services within NHS Grampian.
The post involves management of dispensary workload and supervision and training of dispensary support staff to allow provision of an efficient, economic and safe dispensing service.
Participation in training and education of ward staff, implementation of new policies and procedures and service level audits is also expected.
The post holder is expected to participate in the pharmacy department weekend and public holiday rota.
Applications for this post are invited from qualified, General Pharmaceutical Council registered pharmacy technicians with relevant and substantial post qualification experience. An accredited checking technician qualification is required and if not already held, must be undertaken.

Additional Information For Candidates
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
