Job summary
The Fracture Clinic at Solihull Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced part-time staff nurse to join the team. The role will be Monday - Friday for 25 hours (3 days) and will primarily be based at Solihull hospital, with some element of cross-site working expected when required to meet the needs of the service. Please note that this role is not suitable for newly qualified staff.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will function as an experienced registered nurse within the Outpatient Fracture Clinic department and will be responsible for the delivery of patient care, managing a busy clinic and organising their own work load on a daily basis.
The post holder will also be responsible for managing telephone calls, orthotic application and wound care.
The post holder will ensure effective communication in which high quality patient care is delivered.

* *Evidence of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level leading to Professional registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register i.e. ( Adult / Child / Learning Disability or Mental Health)
* *Evidence of post graduate continuing professional development for registered nurses who have post registration experience
Experience Essential
* *Previous / recent experience or working in an acute secondary health and care setting (can include undergraduate student placements within the last 12 months)
* *Willingness to become a practice supervisor / assessor to or meets Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for student supervision and assessment
* *Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the NMC code of conduct and the proficiencies and standards for registered nurses can apply this to undergraduate training or post graduate practice
