Job Title: Digital Hub & Communications Officer
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £33,000 p/annum & 3% Pension
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Reporting to: Climate Justice Cymru Project Manager
Holidays: 28 Days plus Bank Holidays
Purpose of Job: To develop, manage and promote the Climate Justice Cymru Digital Hub and lead project communications. The role will ensure that learning, resources and community voices are effectively captured, communicated and shared to maximise engagement, visibility and long-term impact

Digital Hub Development & Management
* Design, develop and maintain the Climate Justice Cymru Digital Hub as a central platform for resources, learning and engagement.
* Upload and manage content including toolkits, videos, case studies, blogs and event information.
* Ensure the platform is user‑friendly, accessible and culturally inclusive.
* Regularly update content to reflect ongoing project activity and learning.
Content Creation & Storytelling
* Capture and share community stories, case studies and participant journeys.
* Produce engaging content (written, visual and video) that reflects the voices and experiences of participants.
* Work with staff, partners and Climate Champions to generate content from across all regions.
Communications & Engagement
* Develop and implement a communications plan for the project.
* Manage social media channels and digital communications to promote activities and outcomes.
* Support outreach and engagement through targeted campaigns.
* Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all partners.
Learning & Knowledge Sharing
* Support dissemination of evaluation findings, reports and toolkits.
* Work with Cardiff University and partners to translate learning into accessible formats.
* Promote project learning at a local, regional and national level.
Partnership Working
* Liaise with all delivery partners to gather content and updates.
* Support partners to share their activities through the Digital Hub and communications channels.
* Ensure consistent and coordinated messaging across the partnership.
Events & Promotion
* Support promotion of workshops, events and Climate Leadership Gatherings.
* Contribute to the organisation of learning events and dissemination activities.
* Capture content (photos, videos, interviews) at events where appropriate.
Monitoring & Reporting
* Track engagement metrics (website usage, social media reach, content performance).
* Report on communications impact as part of project monitoring.
* Contribute to funder reporting requirements.
Person Specification
Essential
* Experience of managing websites or digital platforms (e.g. CMS systems).
* Strong content creation skills (writing, basic design, and/or video).
* Experience of managing social media and digital communications.
* Ability to communicate complex information in a clear, accessible and engaging way.
* Experience of working with diverse communities or community‑focused projects.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Understanding of accessibility and inclusive communication.
Desirable
* Experience in storytelling, community media or participatory communications.
* Knowledge of climate change, sustainability or social justice issues.
* Experience of working in partnerships or multi‑agency projects.
* Graphic design or video editing skills.
* Ability to speak a community language.
