Management AccountantTaunton, Somerset£50,000 per annum
Our client, a well-established leader in their field, is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This would be a great opportunity for a candidate looking to make a first move from Practice.
As the Management Accountant, you will be instrumental within the finance team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reports while offering insightful analysis that drives informed, strategic decision-making.
The Responsibilities:
* Compile monthly management accounts for various group entities.
* Generate financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership.
* Collaborate with departments to monitor budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive greater efficiency.
* Help establish and maintain internal financial controls and reporting frameworks.
* Assist the senior management with strategic initiatives, audits, and compliance.
* Contribute to building and expanding the organisations finance function, including systems and processes.
* Support year-end close activities and coordinate with external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
The Candidate:
* ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent), fully or part-qualified; practice background preferred
* Proven management accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity/service organisations
* Advanced Excel and financial systems skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communicator, team player, and values-driven professional
