Recovery Worker
Location: Templar House, Newton Abbott
Contract: Part-time, permanent
Are you passionate about helping people transform their lives? Do you want to play a key role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery? We’re looking for a dedicated Recovery Worker to join our committed team in Newton Abbot.
About the role
In this vital role, you’ll support individuals dealing with substance misuse, helping them take positive steps toward recovery and independence. You'll offer tailored, person-centred support and work collaboratively with a range of partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we serve.
As a Recovery Worker, you will be responsible for:
* Manage a diverse caseload and develop, implement, and review personalised recovery and treatment plans.
* Facilitate and support progression from engagement through to structured treatment and long-term recovery.
* Promote harm reduction and improve health and wellbeing for individuals and the wider community.
* Build strong partnerships with colleagues and external services to coordinate holistic support.
Please note this role is part time (22.5 hours a week)
About you
We're looking for someone with passion, resilience, and empathy. Whether your experience is professional, academic, or voluntary, we value your unique perspective and background.
We are especially keen to hear from candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Substance misuse support
* Mental health services
* Criminal justice system
* Relevant academic fields (e.g., Criminology, Psychology, Law, Sociology)
* Meaningful volunteering in related services
Experience in case management and the ability to navigate the emotional demands of the role are also highly desirable.
