To work as part of the SHEQ team, providing support to develop, manage and expand the SHEQ activities on site. The role will report to the Compliance Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist in the managing of the QMS Management System in accordance with the business requirements and the standard.
* Assist in the identification and development of improvements to the business through the QMS System.
* Assist in the preparation and completion of SHEQ internal audits to measure compliance.
* Provide support in relation to document control and improvement requests within the QMS System.
* Provide support in relation to the creation and issuing of SHEQ reports to the Management Team/ Director.
* Assist in the completion of customer tender documents and support documentation.
* Assist in the delivery and implementation of the SHEQ standards both internally and as required with client projects.
* Support the development of ISO45001 Health & Safety Standard leading to accreditation.
* Assist the Compliance Manager with the implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Standard.
* Assist in the successful completion of Accident / Incident reports and associated investigations.
* Support the Compliance Manager in the creation and issuing of Procedures, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of work across the business
* Assist in the promotion of SHEQ initiatives and promoting a positive safety culture.
* Attention to Detail: Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards requires meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication is essential for coordinating with different departments and ensuring everyone understands SHEQ policies.
* Problem-Solving Ability: The ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions is crucial.

Experience and Qualifications
Experience:
* Relevant Work Experience: Generally, at least 2 years of experience in a related field such as health and safety, environmental management, or quality assurance.
* Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in Manufacturing or specifically battery knowledge.
Qualifications:
* Educational Background: Ideally a degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related discipline.
* Professional Certifications: NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) Certificate and or IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) membership or certification is advantageous or working towards.
Additional Training: Courses in risk assessment, accident investigation, and other SHEQ-related areas are desirable.
