We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to join one of our specialist schools in the Stockport area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with a range of special educational needs.
About the Role:
You will be teaching primary-aged pupils with diverse and complex needs including Autism, PMLD, communication and social interaction challenges, and general learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and committed to helping each child reach their full potential through tailored and engaging learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons in line with SEN best practices and the national curriculum
* Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
* Work closely with teaching assistants and wider school staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
* Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals
* Uphold safeguarding policies and promote pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience working in SEN settings (primary age)
* Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (Child & Adult Workforce)
* Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
* A nurturing, patient, and resilient attitude
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
