Operations Director Location: Lincolnshire Salary : £120,000 - £130,000 Package: Bonus, Company Car, Pension, Holiday, Flexible Benefits We are working on a retained and confidential basis to appoint a high-calibre Operations Director to lead a large, safety-critical industrial site through a period of change. The organisation operates 24/7/365, supplying critical products to multiple industries including steel, environmental services, construction materials, agriculture, and specialty chemicals. The Role Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will take full accountability for all site operational activities, including production, engineering, maintenance, and projects. This is a pivotal leadership role, driving cultural and operational excellence while delivering ambitious financial performance targets. Key Focus Areas Lead all operational functions to achieve world-class standards in safety, output, efficiency, and reliability. Embed a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, aligned with MLC standards. Coach and mentor operational leaders & managing succession planning Collaborate with Sales, Technical Services, and Supply Chain to improve planning, feasibility, and delivery performance. Enhance key performance metrics (efficiency, uptime, OEE), with a current EBITDA growth. Oversee budgets, financial controls, and CAPEX management in line with group standards. Maintain compliance with all UK regulatory frameworks. Support ongoing ERP system implementation to improve operational integration. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a proven operational leader with: Experience running a safety-critical, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or chemical manufacturing site. A strong safety-first mindset and track record in driving cultural improvements. Experience in large-scale, shift-based, 24/7/365 operations. Strong financial and commercial acumen, including delivering to EBITDA targets. High emotional intelligence, capable of coaching, influencing, and inspiring teams. The resilience and gravitas to lead a site through multiple transformation programmes.
