Overview
Vanbrugh Group is assisting a leading local authority refurbishment contractor in Kent to recruit a Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) for their business. The company has secured long‑term, guaranteed work in Canterbury and surrounding areas through repeat business.
The project is part of the SHDF (Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund) and focuses on energy efficiency measures such as improving insulation, installing heat pumps and solar panels to reduce carbon emissions in social housing properties.
Responsibilities
You will serve as the primary point of contact for residents while work is undertaken in their homes. Your role involves clear and efficient communication between residents and site construction teams to ensure a smooth process and high resident satisfaction.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Working experience in a customer service environment, ideally with a housing association, construction or maintenance organisation.
* Ability to work autonomously in a busy environment and deliver to strict deadlines.
* Strong organisational, scheduling and planning skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; approachable, tactful and diplomatic when interacting with residents and team members.
* Confident verbal and written communication ability.
* Initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
Personal Attributes
Highly motivated, organised and possessing a positive mindset are essential for success in this role. A background in resident liaison or satisfaction is a distinct advantage.
