The Bulwell Academy is an 11-18 academy serving families in and around the Bulwell area of Nottingham. We are part of a family of schools that make up the Creative Education Trust and are on an exciting journey to raise standards and ensure we do all that is needed to help the young people we serve to succeed. They deserve an exemplary education and we’re committed to delivering it. Here at The Bulwell Academy, we want the absolute best for every student, and we believe this is best delivered via the highest expectations of each and every one of our school community members, alongside a growth mindset approach, encouraging all students to aim high and never stop believing in themselves and what they can achieve. This is made possible through our knowledge-rich curriculum offer, our CET Knowledge Connected Programme, our clear and concise Behaviour for Learning Policy and our Attitude to Learning Rewards Programme.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Cleaner to join our dedicated site team, to be responsible for the daily cleaning of designated areas across the Academy to a professional and high standard, in line with health and safety requirements.
The postholders will work individually and as part of a team to ensure areas are kept clean, presentable and safe at all times. Duties will include (but not limited to) vacuum cleaning, mopping floors, cleaning toilets, dusting and washing designated areas, cleaning fixtures and fittings, emptying rubbish bins, lifting and carrying sacks containing wastepaper, and reporting any concerns or issues to the Cleaning Supervisor.
We are ideally looking for applicants with previous experience of working in the cleaning industry in a customer-facing environment, who are able to work well individually and as part of a large team. The right candidate will be organised, methodical, self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and a desire to deliver a consistently high standard of service.
