The Agency
Our client is an integrated creative agency with a strong reputation and impressive roster of clients across a variety of sectors. The agency have recently won a lot of new business and is doing incredibly well during challenging economic times. Its culture is progressive, inclusive and warm. This new opportunity is for an Account Manager to work on 2 of the accounts in the agency.
The Role
The Account Manager will be responsible for supporting and running their own projects across a variety of channels; TV, radio, digital, social, press and CRM. They will also be responsible for ensuring the general smooth running of client relationships and projects through excellent record keeping, action reporting, project and resource management and financial reporting.
They’ll work closely with the tight team, but also have exposure to the senior agency group and have plenty of opportunities to learn, develop skills and showcase their talents and interests.
About You
The agency are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious Account Manager with great people skills and keen to build a career in a friendly, fun and dynamic agency. Someone who is fundamentally passionate about client services and delivering a high standard of work, and itching with curiosity about how client businesses (and agencies) grow.
The candidate needs to have the right character, diligence and can-do approach to build strong relationships both internally and externally. You will also need to be confident to lead independently on up to medium-sized projects and be responsive to client requests.
You will be the source of truth for agency and clients when it comes to internal and external meeting preparation, note taking, actions to follow up and resource management, supporting both teams to ensure we’re always looking ahead. You will also work with line managers to support in building project plans, proactive pitches, revenue forecasts and account development plans.
You will to be the go-to point across each project you manage, including taking briefs from the client and managing their expectations; organising kick offs internally; writing the brief (with support); briefing creatives; ensuring all departments are managed and kept in the loop; delivering the campaign on time and on budget and retaining the client’s innate trust in you.
You will also work closely with our client’s third parties to deliver TV, radio, print, CRM, social, digital and paid campaigns.
In general your clients and your team (including across other agency departments) will see you as a steady hand, always prepared for whatever task or challenge you approach.
Essential Skills
* Experience at Account Manager level within an agency environment.
* Experience in working on multi-channel marketing campaigns spanning TV, Radio, Digital, Social, Press and CRM.
* Experience briefing, liaising with and managing processes across agency teams (including Planning and Creative departments).
* Experience independently managing small to medium projects/campaigns.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Highest level of organisational skills with the ability to prioritise (and clearly communicate around) multiple tasks from different stakeholders
* Extremely strong attention to detail
* Able to work independently and loop in senior team members for reviews and approvals.
* Resourcefulness and solution-orientated when things don’t go to plan – ability to think on your feet and find solutions.
* Influencing skills – ability to work in partnership with Clients and interagency partners as well as manage internal relationships effectively.
* Strong process-driven approach to Client Services
* Good knowledge of core processes for campaign development and delivery – from brief interrogation to final creative output.
* Solid understanding of common themes and processes around CRM.
If you have any experience in B2B, Finance, Automotive and Retail sectors this would be a bonus, but is not essential.
