Leckhampton Court is a Sue Ryder Hospice and is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Gloucestershire. We support patients with life-limiting conditions to live the fullest life they can. About the role
The hospice has undergone a period of service development and we are now looking for a Physiotherapist to meet the needs of our patients. The role will primarily cover our 16 bedded inpatient unit, but will also support our new Community Hub.
Our Community Hub provides a welcoming space for patients to come in to and be supported by the MDT through a range of groups, clinics and home visits.
This role will suit an experienced practitioner with a broad knowledge base and experience of working in a wide variety of clinical fields who wishes to specialise in the field of palliative medicine. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of palliative care interventions, strong communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to work well within a close multi-disciplinary team.
About you
We are looking for a qualified Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people to improve their quality of life, and to be as independent as possible. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate competent clinical ability, strong communication and inter-personal skills and be able to work well within a close multi-disciplinary team. Experience in palliative care is desirable but pay scale can reflect experience with the option of this being a developmental post if necessary.
