At JHM BUTT, we're passionate about delivering excellence across our supply chain. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a strategic and commercially savvy Senior Buyer to join our procurement team and help drive value, innovation, and efficiency across our sourcing operations.
The Role
As a Senior Buyer, you'll take ownership of key supplier relationships, lead complex negotiations, and manage high-value procurement projects. You'll work cross-functionally with stakeholders in operations, finance, and product development to ensure we source the best products and services at the best value.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals.
* Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
* Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.
* Continuously improve procurement processes and systems.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a senior procurement or buying role (5+ years).
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.
* Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
* A proactive, collaborative, and results-driven mindset.
* CIPS qualification (or working towards) is a plus.
