o Clinical Psychologist - Full-time, 5 days on-site
o Consultant Clinical Psychologist - Part-time, 3 days on-site
Job Summary
We are seeking either a full-time Clinical Psychologist (5 days) or a part-time Consultant Clinical Psychologist (3 days) to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team in Cheadle, working across two inpatient brain injury wards (10 and 8 beds).
These specialist neurorehabilitation wards support adults with acquired brain injuries presenting with a range of complex cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation and intervention, and play an active role in staff support and service development.

Key Responsibilities
o Conduct neuropsychological and psychological assessments
o Deliver evidence-based interventions, both individual and group
o Provide psychological input into care and rehabilitation planning
o Offer consultation, training, and reflective practice to staff
o Attend MDT meetings, contributing to care planning and risk assessments
o Provide support to families and carers
o Supervise assistant psychologists and trainees (as appropriate)
o Support service development and promote a psychologically informed environment
Person SpecificationEssential:
o Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited)
o HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
o Experience with brain injury or neurological conditions
o Knowledge of neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation
o Strong MDT working, communication, and organisational skills
o Commitment to safeguarding and patient-centred care
Consultant Post (additional):
o Substantial post-qualification experience in neuropsychology/brain injury
o Leadership experience and supervision of qualified staff
o Experience in service development
o Ideally on BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (or working towards)
Desirable:
o Training in CBT, ACT, CAT, or systemic approaches
o Experience with trauma-informed care or PBS
o Background in inpatient or residential neurorehabilitation
