Job Summary
We are recruiting a part‑time Band 6 Senior Forensic Occupational Therapist to join the Specialist Community Forensic Pathway in North Lincolnshire. This dynamic role offers a challenging environment where you will showcase your skills and expertise in Occupational Therapy, providing high‑quality care to individuals within secure forensic services throughout their recovery and reintegration into community settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied and complex caseload.
* Provide evidence‑based, client‑centred occupational therapy interventions, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate using the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and TOMS.
* Involve patients in the co‑production of their own care plans and in the development and evaluation of OT treatment interventions.
* Record treatment progress and CPA reports on the clinical system.
* Provide leadership for junior/non‑registered staff and students through supervision and appraisal.
* Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the service.
* Be a key member of the multi‑disciplinary team.
* Actively participate in the education of Occupational Therapy students.
* Engage in teaching and presentations of specialist skills for professional development.
Essential Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with the HCPC.
* Broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical practice and service.
* Specialist knowledge of occupational therapy models of practice and standardised assessments.
* Knowledge and understanding of the evidence base relevant to the clinical area.
* Basic IT skills.
* Experienced and competent practice educator with up‑to‑date SLiP training.
Essential Experience & Knowledge
* Completed preceptorship programme.
* Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in the relevant service area.
* Understanding of caseload management and clinical responsibilities.
