Chef De PartieThe Dog & Fox is an iconic pub and hotel in the heart of Wimbledon Village. We are an established events venue, pub, dining serving a premium collection of draught & craft beers, local London spirits and fine wines. We offer the best in seasonal, fresh, British produce for our menu and have 25 exquisite bedrooms above in our boutique hotel. Just a 10-minute walk from Wimbledon train station and on several bus routes we are easy to reach and busy all year long. With Wimbledon Tennis Championships in the summer and Christmas functions throughout the winter there is never a boring moment at the Dog & Fox Hotel! Nearest public transport – Wimbledon Train Station or 93 Bus.
Got solid knife skills, a cool head in a busy service, and opinions about how a roast should be done? Good. We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at The Dog & Fox, one of Wimbledon’s best-known (and busiest) pubs.
We serve proper food, done well — seasonal ingredients, quality pub classics, and plates you’re proud to send out. It’s fast-paced, it’s fun, and no two services are ever quite the same.
What you’ll be doing
1. Running your section like a pro (or very close to one)
2. Cooking fresh food that people actually come back for
3. Keeping your cool when the printer won’t stop
4. Working closely with the Head Chef & Sous to keep standards high
5. Helping junior chefs level up (we were all new once)
What we’re looking for
6. A Chef de Partie, or a seriously strong Commis ready to step up
7. Someone who cares about food, not just getting through the shift
8. A team player with a sense of humour (important)
9. Comfortable in a busy, high-volume kitchen
10. Clean, organised, and not allergic to hard work
What’s in it for you
11. Competitive pay (based on experience)
12. Tronc, staff discounts, and decent perks
13. A supportive kitchen that works hard and laughs harder
14. Real progression if you want it — we like promoting from within
15. A venue with energy, character, and a loyal crowd
