Responsibilities
* Build a trusting relationship with the young male with Autism; provide kind and caring support.
* Assist him to access the community and experience the outside world; support participation in activities and outings.
* Support with outings to the local park, farms, and horse-riding; accompany him to cinemas and meals with the PA.
* Support his engagement with gaming and online interactions in a safe, supervised manner.
* Spend time with his cat at home as part of the relationship and routines.
Requirements
* The ideal PA will be kind and caring, with good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with someone who is talkative and friendly once a relationship is established.
* Experience or comfort with supporting someone who has Autism and enjoys social activities.
* Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the cost will be met by the local authority/employer.
