Location: Liverpool, New South Wales. Part-time position (2 x permanent part-time, 14 hours per week over a 7-day bandwidth).
Responsibilities
* Assist the Technical Producer in developing and implementing specialised technical services to facilitate the delivery of programs, events, exhibitions and venue hires.
* Install and operate technical equipment for live performances, events and hires, following run sheets, timelines and standards.
* Make operational decisions where guidance is not provided to ensure high-quality outcomes for Liverpool Powerhouse programs, exhibitions, events and hires.
* Prepare gallery spaces for exhibitions and provide technical expertise and custom solutions for safe movement, installation and display of artworks.
* Supervise casual technicians and share knowledge with other team members to diversify the team’s skillset.
About You / Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in live production, theatre and events or technical services, or comparable industry experience in entertainment, performing arts venues, galleries, or related fields.
* Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
* High-level competency in operating lighting and/or sound and/or AV equipment under live performance conditions.
* Experience in safe installation of technical equipment in gallery, film, event and venue hire environments.
* Experience with computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and specialist lighting, audio and AV software; experience producing and editing digital media.
* Experience in planning and prioritising for the effective delivery of arts programs; maintenance of technical equipment and systems.
* Experience in the use of elevated work platforms, tools and plant; gallery installation, exhibitions setup and art handling.
* Experience liaising with people from diverse backgrounds and/or working with technical crews, artists, writers, designers, performers, choreographers and directors.
