DegreeSix are searching for experienced Learning Support Assistant’s for a specialist SEN school local to Loughborough. This role is supporting pupil’s across Primary & Secondary with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND); Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Communication Difficulties.
This is a flexible role that allows you to work around your availability; Full or part-time hours available. You will always return to the SAME school.
The Role:
1. You’ll be assigned to a key class, alongside other support staff and a lead teacher, you will then work as a team to ensure all needs and learning objectives are met in class.
2. Working with children who need extra support with their academic and social skills, either in school or out in the community (building life and employability skills).
3. Presenting feedback/student progress to class teacher and parent.
To be successful:
4. SEN experience is preferred in a school or similar setting (children’s residential, youth work, Psychology degree etc)
5. Patience and passionate about supporting students with SEN
6. Ability to work within a team and contribute positively
