Registered Manager – Residential Care Home Location: Great Yarmouth Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexibility required) Salary: £40,000 We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly motivated Registered Manager to lead our 18-bed residential care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and a nurturing environment for residents and staff alike. Day-to-day of the role: Leadership & Management Provide strong leadership to the care team, fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and accountability. Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of staff. Promote a positive and inclusive working environment. Care Quality & Compliance Ensure the home meets all CQC standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain and improve care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding protocols. Conduct audits and implement quality improvement initiatives. Resident Wellbeing Champion person-centred care and ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals. Promote dignity, independence, and choice in daily living. Operational Oversight Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively. Ensure health and safety compliance across the home. Maintain accurate records and reporting systems. Strategic Development Contribute to the long-term vision and growth of the home. Engage with local community initiatives and partnerships. Drive innovation in care delivery and service improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role within adult social care. Proven knowledge of CQC regulations and standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. Enhanced DBS clearance.
