Job Summary
We are currently searching for an enthusiastic, reliable and spirited Kitchen Porter to join our established kitchen brigade, led by Chef Matt Gillan.
As a kitchen porter, you will be the powerhouse for the kitchen, assisting the chefs with the cleaning of cutlery, crockery and preparation equipment, whilst also maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic working area. As well as these duties, you may well also be engaging in preparation of fresh ingredients and assisting the Head Kitchen Porter with orders.

Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
* Ensure all dishes and cookware are cleaned, sanitised, and stored properly
* Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as needed
* Help with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages to the Head Kitchen Porter
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous
* Experience in hospitality or hotel environments will be considered a plus
* A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
