ABOUT THE ROLE
Job title: Key Worker (all year round)
Job purpose: To provide high-quality care and early years education for children within the nursery ages, supporting their learning and development in line with the EYFS framework. The Key Worker will contribute to a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment, working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure each child thrives.
Reporting to: Head of Year
Hours: 40 hours per week. This role is all year round. Some flexibility required to cover meetings or events which may be held before or after school
Required: September 2026
Salary: From £26,450 – £34,170 per annum depending on skills and experience

6. Act as a Key Person for a group of children, ensuring their individual needs are met and progress is monitored.
7. Support and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
8. Observe, assess and record children's development, maintaining accurate learning records
9. Contribute to planning a stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment.
10. Promote children’s emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour
11. Ensure high standards of care, including feeding, personal hygiene, and daily routines.
12. Support inclusive practice, ensuring all children can access learning opportunities.
13. Provide a safe, secure environment in which children can learn and develop.
14. Adhere to all safeguarding policies, including recognising and reporting concerns appropriately.
15. Follow all school policies relating to health & safety, behaviour, and child protection.
16. Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
