Fisher Civils Limited are actively recruiting an experienced hands on Mobile Tool Fitter (Small Tools) based in Farlington. Our client provides a range of Nationwide decommissioning services based on specialist diamond cutting to allow size reduction of plant and structures. Please note that this is a hands-on mechanical maintenance role, and applicants must have proven mechanical knowledge and experience; a formal mechanical qualification is preferred, but strong, relevant industry experience will also be considered. This opportunity suits someone from a small plant, mechanical, agricultural, or construction equipment background who is comfortable working autonomously while being backed by a knowledgeable and supportive team. Experience with petrol 2-stroke, 4-stroke, and diesel engines is a strong advantage. You’ll be responsible for keeping essential equipment safe, compliant, and fully operational, working from their own workshop as well as directly at customer sites managing your own daily workload. Key Responsibilities • Maintain, service, and repair company small tools and plant equipment on site • Work independently and collaboratively to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and safety standards • Accurately complete job documentation and follow all safe working practices • Manage van stock, consumables, and parts ordering to remain fully operational What We’re Looking For • Qualified Plant Fitter / Mechanic or demonstrable experience in a similar mechanical role • Full UK driving licence • Strong time management and workload planning skills • Practical knowledge of small plant engines (petrol 2-stroke, 4-stroke, and diesel) • Understanding of 12-volt electrical systems • Experience repairing and maintaining battery-powered tools
