Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Monday to Friday Banbury 4 week shift rotating, Monday to Friday early (6-2), days (8-4) and afternoons (2-10). Sunday to Thursday nights (10-6) £51,000 raising to £58,000 after passing probation period Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and packaging equipment, including conveyors, fillers, wrappers, sealers, and labellers. Diagnose faults and repair breakdowns quickly and safely to minimise production downtime. Support continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, line efficiency, and product quality. Collaborate with production, electrical, and process teams to maintain seamless operations. Maintain detailed maintenance records and adhere to all Health & Safety and Quality standards Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, pumps, conveyors, and packaging automation equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings. A proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent attention to detail and safety awareness Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HNC, NVQ, or equivalent).
